Just built myself a new system consisting of the following:
WinXP Pro Athlon 3200+ ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe 1GB of Dual Channel PC3200 RAM
and I'm having some cooling trouble
My old system ran at under 30 celsius even after playing Eve for 13 hours straight but this new system is wierd. The case temperature is around 34 celsius but the CPU temperature is running between 50-60 celsius which is WAY hotter than I think is safe.
I've got 3 80mm case fans, a coolermaster fan and heatsink on the cpu and the ATX PSU fans running.
Does anyone know where I can buy pc cooling kits? I would rather buy a bundle/kit than buy a few things from several shops.

Originally by: Jarjar First of all, if you previous system was a regular air-cooled AMD, I really REALLY doubt it was below 35C at load. Second of all, 60C ain't too much, it can handle that for maany years. No need to be worried either unless you want to overclock.
Besides, if you buy a (usually crappy but still) complete computer from "known" companies like compaq, dell etc you'll see that with standard equipment they probably all run hotter than 55C.
That'll tach me not to trust CPU monitoring software, if that's the case
However, there's a very definite difference. I can feel the heat when I put my hand over the fans and inside the case.
overclockers.co.uk sorted me out though with a big copper heatsink and 80mm fan and a vga card cooler.

I ended up buying:
Akasa AK-825 Air-Cooled Copper Base Carnival Cooler - Retail (Socket A) (HS-010-AK) Arctic Cooling VGA Silencer (SY-000-AR)
which hopefully will cool off the CPU. the mobo temp is fine but I think the fan and heatsink on the cpu aren't doing enough to take heat from the cpu. I've bought some better heat paste too.
